Biography:
My real world name is Andrew , but I'm better known by the moniker 'Parmi'. I have a driving passion for photography which began in 1994, when I first picked up an SLR camera in my VCE Studio Arts class. Fast forward to this day and age, and my vision is to capture the world as we know it, and present it in a way that we may not.
My portfolio includes landscape, portraiture and architectural pieces along with abstract realism, and more, often blended with the techniques of digital post processing. Artistically, my endeavors are constantly changing, developing and evolving. My art reflects myself, my influences and how I see the world around me.
My pieces often takes two avenues of theme: a darker, sometimes scary world of unseen nightmares, and a nostalgic playground of memories, much safer and happier than the former. Everything in between is life as we see it, and even sometimes as we don't like to see it. I like to think that my art is emotive work that creates a contemplative mood. I tend to notice everything, from the simple objects around us to the wonders of the world in which we live. I like paying attention to the little details we sometimes miss. I really believe it is the image in our mind that creates the eventual photo.
I have one general rule to photography: "Look up. You miss so much at eye level only."
